Q. Why is working on and healing the hurts of our inner child important? Why dig up the past? Why feel that pain all over again?
A. The child you stands at the control panel of your daily experience. She/he is your emotional body. Your emotions create your vibration.
Your vibration creates your world. Your inner child holds the power of creating your reality in it's hands. Do you want an angry hurt child holding that power, or a happy peaceful one?
When the child you felt that pain for the first time, some fundamental core beliefs about herself, the world around her, and God were being formed.
Those beliefs are still running in the background of your consciousness, like a faulty computer program, and creating your daily experience.
That experience serves to trigger, upset, disturb the child until the adult part of you says "Enough".
At that point, you can go talk to that child, find the hurt, find the belief, and change it.
Until you do, you will suffer the child's reaction through fear, anger, frustration, disappointment, hurt, and suffering.
You will have no peace until you heal the wound held by the child.
